Per Stelluna's suggestion, I've moved this page up. It was going to happen, but at a later date, so it wasn’t too much trouble to rewrite the entire…rest of… the chapter... But still, I think I got my point across that there's a wee bit of animosity between Eilenna and Thook, but I haven’t been doing a good job explaining the lore behind everyone’s feelings. That will come… soon? Anyway, my wrist hurts thanks to that wall of text. Have fun reading it! Also, thanks go to scotranslate.com for Laska’s voice. I recommend that site for a good laugh.
In other news, major/minor change is coming. Today is my last day at my current job. I’ve got mixed emotions about leaving, but that’s beside the point. The point is, I’ve scanned all of my comics to date in one scanner at my office. Tuesday’s comic will be coming from my editor’s office, and Friday’s page will be from my new job. I worry that scan settings may make all my colors wonky, but I’m pretty sure everything will be similar. Basically, if everything looks a bit off on Tuesday and/or Friday, I’m working on it!
My Christmas wish list includes a new scanner for myself at home <3
So Tuesday's page is going to come up on Wednesday. I tried, I really did, but I'm starting a new job tomorrow and I don't know when I'll be able to scan it. Wednesday for sure. Sorry! :(
Laska puts down the smackdown, awesome.
Yay Laska, way to drop the hammer on all 3 of them for acting like horses rears!
As someone said Winthir is the one here thinking of Kithra! Why is it the big, mostly silent guys are the are always the most understanding.
I feel like he wanted to say something too, but the words don't come to him as easily... unless it's fishing or history. If Kithra had been taken by a mythological fish... he'd be all over that.
I think a simple sad shake of Winthir's head while looking at Thook would have spoken volumes more than anything he could have said, except maybe "I'm deeply disappointed in you Thook".
I like that look Chaos has in the last panel, "Let's go play with some more bad men Mom!"
Thank you for doing this, it makes me feel much better knowing that at least two of them can see past faction biases.
Not at all, this page was going to happen anyway!
This makes me proud to play a tauren in WoW!!!!!!!
Woot for Winthir!!!!!
I like how you can see Laska's face getting all red and blotchy as she continues her scolding.
And I really like Winthir's 'I expected better from you' look as he walks off.
It's tough when you're trying to express so much with just a couple lines, and you're smooshed into a bumpy subway, so I'm always super happy when people get the emotions I'm trying to portray!
"She got a point... for a GNOME... I guess..."
I thought Laska was a dwarf O.o
I don't know actually, I felt too lazy to go check :P
She is a dwarf, hence the stereotypical dwarven accent.
I kinda figured the last panel runoff quote would be "hmmph. At least we're taller!"
Yay Chaos! ♥
I like winthar's expression in the second to last panel
*applauds* Laska. Very powerful look from Winthir there at the end. I love this comic.
